Privacy Policy

JustLFG is a Discord bot for scheduling and coordinating community events. This policy covers the bot, its web pages at bot.justlfg.app (the dashboard, public event pages, and calendar links), and this website, justlfg.app. It explains what we store, why, and for how long. We keep it minimal on purpose.

What the bot stores

Discord identifiers needed to run events: user IDs, server IDs, channel IDs, message IDs, and role IDs.
Server details and settings: the server's name and icon, plus what its admins configure, such as post channels, reminder times, ping roles, templates, linked servers, event rules (a name, the roles that can sign up, a role to ping and a channel), which roles may take which actions, members blocked from using JustLFG in that server, and whether the server's public events page is on.
Events: what the host enters, such as title, description, game, image link, time, time zone, cap, roles or slots, a sign-up question, co-hosts, and which event rule it was posted under.
RSVPs: your user ID and Discord display name, your response, guests, role or slot pick, any note you add, on events shared across linked servers which of those servers you signed up from, whether the host marked you as attended, and on fireteam events, how much you've run the activity (if you answer) and which fireteam you're in.
Linked servers: what a link's owner sets up, such as its name, the people it appoints to manage the link, and, if the owner lists it in the dashboard's directory, its description and whether member server names show. When an admin asks to join a listed link, we keep the request, the channel picked for shared events, any note, and who sent it, so the owner can approve or decline.
Other things you choose to do: poll votes, notify-me requests for full events, and the weekly availability (days, times, and roles you play) you share with /lfg availability.
Personal settings: your time zone, whether you've muted reminder DMs, your answer about how much you've run each game (so you aren't asked again on fireteam events), and, if you set one up on the dashboard, the private link to your calendar feed. If you try to create an event before setting a time zone, we keep that request until you set one, then run it for you.

What we do not store

We don't read or store your message content, and we don't monitor channels. The bot only sees the commands and buttons you use with it.
We don't read your DMs. The bot only sends event-related DMs (reminders, plus alerts if an event is cancelled or moved, a waitlist spot opens, or you asked to be notified), and their content isn't logged.
No email addresses, no card numbers or other payment details, and no tracking or advertising identifiers.

How it's used

Only to run the features you use: posting events, collecting RSVPs, sending reminders, running polls and availability, mirroring events across servers you've linked, and helping us look into problems when something goes wrong. We never sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.

The web dashboard

You can sign in at bot.justlfg.app with Discord; the dashboard at bot.justlfg.app/app uses the same sign-in. Discord shares your user ID, username, and the list of servers you're in (the "identify" and "guilds" permissions). We use that to show the servers with JustLFG where you can see events or manage JustLFG. We don't keep your Discord access token.

Signing in sets three cookies, all needed for it: one that keeps you signed in on that device for up to 7 days (signing out removes it), a security token that protects your changes, and a short-lived cookie that only lasts through the sign-in step. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

Your events page

When you use /lfg web or sign in at bot.justlfg.app, we keep your Discord user ID, display name, which servers you opened there, your role IDs in each, and whether those roles let you manage the server, so the page shows only what you can see in Discord and the Manage tab only where you manage. We check your roles with Discord again every 15 minutes while you use it. The one-time link is stored scrambled and stops working after one use or 10 minutes. The page sets one cookie that keeps you signed in on that device for up to 7 days; signing out removes it. Using "Forget me" deletes all of this.

Public pages and calendar links

A server's public events page and calendar feed are off unless a server admin turns them on. When on, anyone with the link can see that server's upcoming events and how many people are going, but not who. Your private calendar link shows the events you're going to; anyone who has the link can read it, so treat it like a password. You can reset it from the dashboard at any time.

Premium payments

Premium is paid through Stripe. Stripe collects your payment details and billing information on its own checkout page and handles them under Stripe's privacy policy. We never see your card number. We send Stripe the ID of the server you're upgrading, and we keep that server ID, the plan status, the renewal date, and the Stripe subscription and customer IDs, so we know which servers have Premium and can open the billing portal for you.

This website

justlfg.app is a plain website with no sign-in, no forms, and no cookies. It uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. That count is anonymous and aggregated: it uses no cookies, doesn't identify you, and doesn't follow you to other sites.

Retention & deletion

Events, with their RSVPs and reminders, are deleted automatically about six hours after they end. An event with no end time is treated as lasting two hours, so it's deleted about eight hours after it starts. For a repeating event, the posts are removed on the same schedule, and the event record stays until the next occurrence is scheduled from it.
When an event is deleted, we keep a short history entry (title, game, start time, and how many were going, with no names or user IDs) so /lfg history works, and a record of what happened to the event (such as posted, cancelled, or deleted, with the channel and message IDs) so we can answer "where did my event go?" reports.
Server settings, your availability, and your personal settings stay until you change or remove them.
/lfg forget-me deletes your RSVPs (with any notes, guests, and role picks), poll votes, notify-me requests, availability, unfinished event and poll drafts, any saved event request, saved time zone, reminder settings, saved answers about how much you've run each game, and your private calendar link (the old link stops working), across every server. It also removes you from co-host lists on other people's events and takes your user ID off templates you saved and off the record of events you cancelled; those templates and records stay for the server. It doesn't cover events or polls you host (cancel an event with /lfg cancel) or a server's decision to block you from using JustLFG there.
Removing the bot from a server stops all processing for that server. The server's settings and history stay until you ask us to remove them.

Services we use

Cloudflare runs the bot (Workers) and stores its data (D1). Like any host, it processes IP addresses and request details to deliver and protect the service, and it keeps short-lived logs.
Discord delivers the bot's commands, posts, and DMs, and handles dashboard sign-in, under Discord's own privacy policy.
Stripe processes Premium payments.
Vercel hosts this website and provides its page-view counts.
Google Fonts supplies the fonts on the bot's web pages, so your browser requests them from Google when you open one.

Children

JustLFG runs inside Discord, and Discord requires users to be at least 13, or older where local law says so. JustLFG isn't meant for anyone below Discord's minimum age. If you believe we hold data about a child who shouldn't be using Discord, email us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change what we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
